Pair Tree was established in 2023 to meet the needs of Logansport, IN.

Pair Tree Mission Statement

At Pair Tree Autism Services, we are passionate about meeting the needs of our local families and community.  We help children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) develop the skills necessary to navigate in the world and grow to be more independent as adults.  Using applied behavior analysis and evidence-based research, Pair Tree will assist with skill acquisition, social skills, and behavioral interventions. Pair Tree is committed to working with the families, schools, and community in order to successfully meet the needs of each child.  Our brick and mortar center will provide your child with a positive and reinforcing natural environment instrumental for learning.

Core Values

  • Focus on Autonomy: Develop functional communication (verbal or non-verbal) so your child can use his/her voice, develop social and adaptive skills so each child can grow as independent as possible.  Our goals focus on functional skill development, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation rather than forced compliance.

  • Community-Centered Care: Emphasizes meeting the specific needs of local families in Logansport, IN, through integrated support with schools and community members.

  • Scientific Rigor: Committed to using evidence-based research and behavioral interventions to ensure measurable progress in skill acquisition and social behavior.

  • Reinforcing Environments: Operates from a center designed to be a natural, positive setting instrumental for learning.  We create environments that prioritize sensory safety and provide the necessary modifications.

Guiding Principles

  • Dignity: We treat every client with compassion and respect, ensuring their right to privacy and that their self-expression is never compromised.

  • Professional Standards: Our clinicians follow the BACB Ethics Code, ensuring honesty and professionalism.

  • Autonomy & Assent: We prioritize the client’s assent, recognizing and respecting their right to say "no" or withdraw from activities.

  • Valuing Differences: We view differences as a natural variation of being human, focusing on building strengths rather than "fixing" the individual.

  • Evidence-Based Foundations: We utilize scientifically proven techniques such as reinforcement, shaping, and functional communication training to foster growth.

  • Data-Driven Progress: we base our treatment goals and mastery with measurable data to ensure interventions are effective and adaptive.

  • The Seven Dimensions of ABA: We remain committed to programs that are applied (socially significant  behaviors), behavioral (observable and measurable behaviors), analytic (relationship between the intervention and the behavior), technological (using clear and concise steps that can be replicated), conceptually systematic (use of evidence-based principles), effective (interventions produce significant change), and generalizable (ensure that the skills learned will last over time, settings, and to related behaviors).

  • Empowered Families: We collaborate with each family, providing the tools and parent training resources needed to support progress at home.  If behaviors occur more at home or the community, we will provide parent training in those settings.

  • Social Significance: We focus on teaching skills that improve the client’s independence and overall quality of life within their community.

  • Community Collaboration: We collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, OTs, and SLP, to ensure a cohesive support system and transition for every child.

Step 2

Insurance companies require diagnostic evaluations from a licensed psychologist (HSPP).   If you believe that your child may be showing signs of ASD, contact a diagnostic center or your pediatrician to determine if diagnostic evaluations are necessary.

Step 3

Once diagnosed with ASD, Pair Tree will obtain authorization for an intake evaluation.  Pair Tree will schedule an initial ABA assessment to obtain the information needed to develop an initial treatment plan.

Step 4

Once authorized, your child will receive individualized treatment from a team of two to four registered behavioral therapists (RBT) and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in a center based location. Treatment can last approximately one to three years and many children usually attend 20 to 40 hours a week.

Remember that obtaining authorization from your insurance company may take longer than expected.  Pair Tree will work diligently to expedite the process.

We work with the following insurance companies

If you do not see your insurance company listed, let Pair Tree know and we will work on an authorization with your insurance company.  Several other insurances are in the works as well as the Medicaid portions of insurance companies.

Traditional Medicaid

Aetna Health Insurance

Cigna Health Care

Anthem and Blue Cross Blue Shield

Currently the managed care companies for Indiana Medicaid (MHS, Caresource, and Anthem) are not enrolling new ABA providers including this center.  Pair Tree will continue to try and enroll.

We are always seeking individuals who want to make a difference.  If you are not already a registered behavior therapist (RBT), we will train you and assist you in becoming certified.
